HEINEKEN REGATTA CURACAO: THE REAL DIFFERENT REGATTA!!

After the stunishing first edition of the Heineken Regatta Curacao, Heineken and the Curacao Sailing Festival are preparing for their second regatta. The boats will set their sails on 6,7 and 8 November when they will compete for the sought after NIBanc Cup.
After a succesfull first edition in 2008 the organization and the people of Curacao are now even more convinced that Curacao offers a unique location in its harbour to accomodate the Heineken Regatta Curacao. The Regatta will start and finishes in the center of Willemstad on the handelskade, which is on the Unesco World Heritage list, in between Punda and Otrabanda so that everyone off and onshore can enjoy the sailing part of the event. This event in close cooperation between Heineken and Curacao Sailing foundation together with its partners; Curacao Port Authorities,, NIBanc, Banco di Caribe, ENNIA, Curacao Tourist Board and CHIPPIE has all the ingredients to become one of the biggest event in the Caribbean.
With a magnificient view over the harbour, a great ambiance in Willemstad, many activities on shore combined with international artists the Heineken Regatta Curacao offers entertainment, not only on sea but also on land. The interest shown from different Yachts throughout the Caribbean and also from Europe and the USA is growing. The number of competitors in the different classes will be even more then last year.
Heineken Regatta Curacao offers a great program that is attractiv for both local people as well as the tourists.
