Casse Tete’ ready for Heineken Regatta Curacao 2009

WILLEMSTAD — The Curacao Sailing Yacht 'Casse Tete' will be revived after being revised completely. Casse Tete which is a SWAN 44.1 racetype yacht, celebrated its 30th birthday on this sunny friady afternoon.
After a facelift which lasted 3 years the Casse Tete was lowered into the water again at Curacao Marine. The intention is that this sailing yacht, one of the oldest sailing yachts on the island, will compete this year for the sought after NiBanc Cup during the Heineken Regatta Curacao 2009.

HEINEKEN REGATTA CURACAO: THE REAL DIFFERENT REGATTA!!

After the stunishing first edition of the Heineken Regatta Curacao, Heineken and the Curacao Sailing Festival are preparing for their second regatta. The boats will set their sails on 6,7 and 8 November when they will compete for the sought after NIBanc Cup.
After a succesfull first edition in 2008 the organization and the people of Curacao are now even more convinced that Curacao offers a unique location in its harbour to accomodate the Heineken Regatta Curacao. The Regatta will start and finishes in the center of Willemstad on the handelskade, which is on the Unesco World Heritage list, in between Punda and Otrabanda so that everyone off and onshore can enjoy the sailing part of the event. This event in close cooperation between Heineken and Curacao Sailing foundation together with its partners; Curacao Port Authorities,, NIBanc, Banco di Caribe, ENNIA, Curacao Tourist Board and CHIPPIE has all the ingredients to become one of the biggest event in the Caribbean.
