Illuminated Boat Parade: Everyone’s invited!
On Saturday the 7th of November the HRC is proud to present the second edition of the Illuminated boat parade. If you have missed it last year here is small description;
All sorts of boats entering the Annabaai by night.
Boats decorated with all kinds of lights all over the boat.
Start of the evening event.
A great event , which will be watched by thousands of people on land!!!
Of course this year the HRC organization wants to make this years illuminated boat parade more spectacular with more boats entering for the very special price.
This year’s best-illuminated boat will win a 2 persons VIP trip to the Heineken Regatta St. Maarten which will take place in March. This price is worth more then Nafl. 8000,-!!!!!! So make sure you are part of the Illuminated boat parade and maybe you will win this great price. There will be a jury present who will judge which boat will take the grant price.
Entrance to the Illuminated boat parade is free. You will have to subscribe so that you are in the system to compete for the price and you will know what the program will consist of.

The Illuminated boat parade will start at 6.30PM on open sea in front of the Plaza Hotel.
So make sure you and your boat will be there and don’t forget to bring the most beautifull lights.
HRC International Tarpon Tournament
Game fish tournament in the harbor of Willemstad:
A rare opportunity to fish the Silver King of the Caribbean!
All year round it is not allowed to fish in the harbor waters of Willemstad. So Heineken Regatta Curacao creates a unique once a year opportunity.
A fleet of open fishing boats will compete for the biggest Silver King. The fish this time of the year is well represented in the Curaçao waters and big catches can be expected.
Heineken Curacao International Tarpon Tournament will be held on Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th 2009.
All boats up to 27" may participate. Up to 2 anglers per boat.
Registration will take place online.
Confirmation and payment will take place on the 6th of November @ the Regatta House.
Tournament will be held on the 7th of November Starting 11 A.M. till 5 P.M. and on the 8th of November Starting 12 P.M. till 4 P.M.
All boats including anglers should check in one hour prior to tournament start.

Punda is also hoisting their SAILS/SALES!
This year the Heineken Regatta Curacao weekend will be kicked off on Thursday November 5th in downtown Punda. Thursday November 5th all shops in Punda will be open during the evening for the first Shopping night of the 2009 high season!!
There will be street artists to entertain the visitors on the shopping night. Shops will have special sales prices for the Heineken Regatta Curacao, which can be noticed by the special promotion sticker on the show window.
When the shopping night ends at 9.00PM the festivities continue at the Wilhelminapark where a local band will treat you with a Curacao style performance. So be ready to dance and enjoy the Caribbean life.
Friday November 6th and Saturday November 7th the shops in Punda will be open as normal and are glad to welcome you. But that is not all!! On Sunday November 8th the downtown city of Punda will be open to make sure that you can buy all the items that you need. Again the shops will have special promotions for all visitors. Check out the stores with the HRC sticker in the show window for great deals.
Don’t forget while shopping in Punda to check out the amazing starts and finishes of the sailing races in the Annabaai or the exciting watersport demonstrations such as wakeboarding, kiting etc. Go visit the Heineken Regatta Village where the rest of the Heineken Regatta fun is going on. You can find the Heineken Regatta Village on the Kleine Werf(Pund). There is also the UTS Family Pavilion on the Scharloowerf.

First edition of the Heineken Regatta Curacao a great success
In the weekend of 7,8 and 9 November 2008 Curacao experienced the first ever Heineken Regatta Curacao. The weekend evolved perfectly and everyone could enjoy the entertainment that was offered.
Friday 7 November the Heineken Regatta Curacao was officially opened for the sailors with the NIBanc cocktail party at the Maritime Museum. Here the NIBanc Cup was presented and Juni Julliet finished off the night with his great live performance on the piano. The ambiance was set for the weekend.
